Cost Centers: Costs and Allocations - 0CCA_M20

Hi,

I have a query regarding 0CCA_M20, this MP gets data from below cubes

1. Basis cube -   0CCA_C20 - gets the data from 0CO_OM_CCA_20

2. Virtual cube (near real time) - 0CCA_R20 - gets the data from 0CO_OM_CCA_20 only.

I have been through different forums about the remote cube, every forum says the data is directly from source using datasource. My question here is how does it works in case if execute a query built on this cube. If i have a query with fiscal period prompt and i execute it, then how the real time cube behaves and what is the real use of getting real time data when the std cube has previous day data already stored.
