When a text file is FTPed to AL11, the encoding of the file gets changed

Hello All,

We have a .txt file of UTF-8 format which is FTPed(WinSCP using VBScript) and placed in the AL11 server of SAP.

The original text file contains a special character Beta which changes into junk characters once the file is placed in AL11.

We tried changing the mode of FTP from Auto to Binary but still the issue persists.

Could someone please help?
